Michelle first started with Physical Culture before changing to dance classes and never looked back. At the age of 13 Michelle began to student teach and knew she had found her passion. Since then Michelle has continued to share her love of dance with many of her students and continued to enhance her teaching skills from becoming a dance teacher to a principal teacher and director of At The Barre Dance Company which opened In January 2018.

Michelle also worked in 2 different dance shops including becoming a manager of Bloch at MacArthur Square. Here she was able to meet many dancers and teachers and learn how to fit shoes including completing a course to fit pointe shoes.

With 25 years teaching experience, teaching students from the age of 1 right up to adult in many styles including ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop and national character, Michelle has seen many children progress from a preschooler to completing their dance grades or becoming teachers, even teaching some of children of those dancers. Michelle has seen many students complete exams and has choreographed many dances including those for competition.

Michelle loves sharing her passion with her students and training some of those to become teachers. She loves extending her skills and always wants each dancer to become their very best and achieve their goals.

Michelle is a full teacher member of Ballet Australasia Limited and holds a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management as well as a first aid certificate.
